Splendid Pearls

About

All praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds.

May salutations and greetings of peace be upon our Master Muhammad ﷺ, upon his family and his companions.

The “Splendid Pearls” blog is named after Imam Ahmad Dardir’s creedal text: AlKharidat ulBahiyyah.

Since 2011, this blog has been dedicated to the revival of classical, traditional, orthodox scholars and their works.

Who is behind the blog?

Abdul Ali aka Fulan

This blog is not about me, as I have been writing since 2011 under pseudonym ‘Fulan’ with one goal: to collect information that will help all Muslims learn and understand Classical Sunni Islam.

Many times people get caught up with names, titles, certifications, etc. and ignore or reject the information that is being presented to them.

However, I now believe it’s important for readers to know who they are taking their information from or at least have some idea of their background. Whether someone accepts or rejects the truth is not in our control.

“O Allah, show me the truth as truth and guide me to follow it. Show me the falsehood as falsehood and guide me to avoid it.”

I’m not a scholar by any standard, but I have had the honour of studying basic texts in: Ash’ari Aqidah, Maliki Fiqh and Arabic grammar, with my teachers from UK, US, Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco and Iraq.

I greatly appreciate everyone and welcome anyone’s questions or comments on how to improve the blog (criticism is welcome).
